Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Delicious
I cooked Cuban pork, black beans and rice, and plantains for New Years dinner and everybody loved them. I have a couple of other Cuban cookbooks and the recipes in this one rank right up there with the others. What makes this more entertaining are the family pictures and anecdotes. The mojo sauce recipe in here is one of the best I have found.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Estefan Kitchen
This is an excellent book. It has authentic recipes. I know what Cuban food should taste like because I am cuban. The only thing I would add to some of the recipes is Sazon Goya for more flavor. If you want to have a book that is easy to follow and the recipes are as authentic as the food you will find in cuban restaurants in Miami, then get this book. This is my favorite cuban cookbook! I applaud the Estefans!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Been There Done That
Unfortunately a bunch of celebrity hype. The restuarants owned by the Estefans are just what they are owned in name only. Their fare is definitely pedestrian as the other reviewer said. Casa Larios was a place the Estefans frequented in west Miami and invited Larios to host a restuarant in Miami Beach at their hotel. The original Casa Larios has long since gone downhill years ago.

This book is disappointing, like the 3 Guys series. Although, the 3 Guys books were akin to the Tex/Mex ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sublime is Estefan Kitchen
This cookbook has been a real blessing at my place. The recipes are easy to follow and they really are delightful! Before we eat I always say Grace and my husband added, "yes, thank you God for making my wife such a good cook"! I had to laugh and say to my hubby, "just TG that I got this book"! lol

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - It's been done!
The Estefans have joined the pack of also rans following the early success of such Cuban cookbook classics as Memories of a Cuban Kitchen: More Than 200 Classic Recipes and Three Guys from Miami Cook Cuban.

Unfortunately, it's all been done before and much better. Aside from the personal anecdotes, this book adds nothing to the Cuban food lexicon. Possibly a book for fans of Gloria's music, but serious foodies will find better recipes and fun, easy-to-follow directions in the aforementioned ... Read More
