Editorial Review: Product Description: June 632 A.D.: Deep within the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca, the Prophet Mohammed shares with his closest companions a final and startling revelation. Within days, he is assassinated. September 1789: U.S. minister to France Thomas Jefferson, charged with forging a truce with the violent Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast, makes a shocking discovery - one that could forever impact the world's relationship with Islam. Present day: When a car bomb explodes outside a Parisian café, Navy Seal turned covert Homeland Security Operative Scot Harvath is thrust back into the life he has tried so desperately to leave behind. Saving the intended victim of the attack, Harvath becomes party to an amazing and perilous race to uncover a secret so powerful that militant Islam could be defeated once and for all without firing another shot, dropping another bomb, or launching another covert action. But there are powerful men who are determined that Mohammed's mysterious final revelation continue to remain hidden forever. Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as 'quite possibly the next coming of Robert Ludlum,' Brad Thor takes listeners across the globe on a heart-pounding chase where the stakes are higher than they have ever been before. ![]() Rating: - Not politically correctWell Mr. Thor your book was a winner. The intertwining of fact with fiction was a highlight and took the novel to great heights. Now the only problem is all of the radical Muslums that will be upset. Know what? So What? It takes men like you to stand up and say what most of us think but in todays world are scared to say. Keep up the good work and give us more of the same. As we said in the Navy "Outstanding" Rating: - AWESOME BOOK! I hope his next book is a direct sequal to this book. THIS IS AN AWESOME BOOK!! I really liked it and at times was getting addicting at times, however there were major areas in the book that I was finding boring, probably because I wasn't reading it regularly everyday. Currently, I have a friend of mine who has recently started reading this book and he loves it like anything and is finishing on a very exceedingly greater pace than I did. He claims its the best book he ever read. The ending was interesting, since it starts getting disappointing, but ... Read More Rating: - Reminiscent of The Da Vinci CodeI will say this book is a definite page turner. From the moment I started reading it to the last page I had a hard time putting the book down. Brad Thor is a great story teller and knows how to keep you glued to his books. This is the first Brad Thor book that I have read and the lead character in this book does have some history in many of Brad Thor's other books. But with that said I was able to jump right in and follow the story very easily. The recaps put in the are enough to help those like ... Read More Rating: - GoodThis book was good. It is outside of the genre that I would usually choose, but when a friend loaned it to me I listened to her advice and read it. In the beginning I had to keep reminding myself why I was bothering to read it, but by the time I got into the story I really felt involved in the plot and I felt a connection to the characters. Still not my favorite genre, but a good read nonetheless. Rating: - Brad Thor is outstandingAs far as thrillers go this was very good. The characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like that kind of thriller read the `Soft Target` books by Conrad Jones. They are unputdownable!! Back to the review, ten out of ten. |
