Editorial Review: Product Description: Get the most fiber and protein for your homemade multi-grain and wheat breads, cereals or tortillas. Grind your own using this Grain Mill attachment with your KitchenAid stand mixer. Use with low-moisture grains, such as wheat, corn, rice and select the desired consistency - fine to coarse. Stainless steel attachment safely secures to front of mixer and detaches easily for convenient storage. Refrigerate ground grains for lasting freshness. Amazon.com Review: Cooking from scratch is made easier with a stand mixer, and made all the more literal with this grain mill attachment. Use it to make flour out of wheat, corn, rye, oats, rice, buckwheat, barley, and millet--any low-moisture, non-oily grain (peanuts and coffee are a no-no with this tool). Make up to 10 cups at a time. The mill is sturdy, heavy, and easy to assemble and attach to the mixer's hub. Adjust the knob to the desired grind, fill the unit with grains, and crank it up to 10. When you're through, brush it clean with the small brush included in the kit. If you need to, wash it by hand, but don't put it in the dishwasher. --Betsy Danheim Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Worth the moneyI bought this to start using whole wheat flour. It does a good job grinding the wheat. Make sure you use it on speed 10 or it will ruin your mixer. You need to let it cool after you grind wheat with this grinder. I usually grind about 5 cups at a time and have not had any trouble with it overheating. If you are going to grind a lot of wheat at a time, I would spend the money to get a nutrimill grain mill. Rating: - Great grinder! We have had this grinder for about 3 years now and we love it. I usually mix 4 cups of wheat and 1 cup of soy beans together to grind into flour for bread making and have had no problems. I've heard many stories of people having their motors burn out from the usage of this attachment. If you keep in mind a few things, you shouldn't have any problems. First off, you should only grind no more than 5 cups at one time, otherwise you risk burning out your motor. Also, I only put my setting on '2'. ... Works great for the 7 grain & whole wheat, rye bread grains I use, turns them into flour just as described! It's easy to clean. A good addition to a Kitchenaid Attachment assortment to help anyone who bakes. Rating: - Great communication and service!I ordered a grain mill attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer. I received emails concerning my order immediately and received my order in four days and the product worked great. The service was unbelievable I definitely would order from Discount Jungle again! KitchenAid GMA Grain Mill Attachment for Stand Mixers Rating: - Excellent for small batchesI would have given this product 5 stars, but I wanted to give an accurate assessment of the item as grain mill in general. This item is best used for small batches. After milling 2 cups of spelt berries at the finest setting, the unit became too hot to touch and I let it sit for an hour before starting up again. If you mill at a coarser setting, you can mill more and also mill faster. If you are mindful and enjoy the whole process, the extra time is not an issue. If you want mill on a medium or large ...
