Editorial Review: Product Description: Although it was a guilty pleasure of many to watch the TV show, no one needs to feel guilty playing DUKES OF HAZZARD: Racing for Home on the PlayStation. The storyline of the game is straight out of the show. The Dukes need to get to town to pay the mortgage or they'll lose the farm to Boss Hogg. Sounds like a simple assignment, but there's a gang of carjackers and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coletrane blocking their way. DUKES OF HAZZARD: Racing for Home is a mission-based racing game that puts you behind the wheel of all the great vehicles from the show, including Daisy's Jeep. Speaking of Daisy, she's there, along with favorites like Uncle Jessie, Cooter and Enos. The game features the actual voices of the stars, including Waylon Jennings as the guitar pickin' narrator. If you get tired of helping the Dukes, you and a friend can do some one-on-one racing in Two-Player mode. Amazon.com Product Description: Help the good old boys solve another Hazzard County mystery in The Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home for the Game Boy Color. There are full area maps to help Bo and Luke Duke keep track of the likes of Boss Hogg. The General Lee loves a race, and the variable terrain helps her drop a load of mud on the opposition's windshield. To make sure that the General Lee stays out of Cooter's shop, players should keep an eye on the collision meter. And, to make sure that the Duke boys stay out of the Graybar Hotel (get it?), players can take advantage of several hiding places to elude Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Great racing gameThe Dukes of Hazzard is one of the best racing games I've played in a while, along with Grand Theft Auto and Driver. With the law chasing you throughout the game, it is a challenging and fun game, with beautiful graphics and fun music. Great buy. Rating: - OK GAMEMy friend had this game already and said it was the best game he had. So I went to Wal-Mart and bought it. In my mind this game is not that fun! Unless you like driv'n around making lots of noise, out running cops and playing levels that are similar to the one you just beat don't get this game. Oh yeah, and if you do decide to buy it what ever you do don't link up with anyone to race. It will erase all of your progress and you can't even race against each other. Rating: - Can't get passed the bow shootingThis is one of the best games that I have ever played. The color is good and the graphics are awesome.Your are Bo and Luke Duke and the law is on your tail almost all the time. There are a lot of levels and I only got to the fifth one and you got to look for arrows and shoot stuff like barrels that you can't get passed. In some levels you can be Daisy or Uncle Jesse. You can race other people like Boss Hogg and Cooter. This is fun and awesome game. Rating: - Manic Racing/Adventure fun on the Gameboy! What a surprise and a refreshing change...Dukes of Hazzard is fun, challenging, manic and amusing......it is all of that with the same driving buzz of 'driver'and 'Colin McRae' but with a beat em up-adventure race against time puzzle arcade cocktail of beautifully animated cars and colorful interacive isometric backgrounds....this game plays very well .......clever programming and effort which has been infused and then squeezed into this little cartridge to ensure such a convincing and fun experience.... |
