The game is just what I remembered and I love it. My kids can't imagine why I love the game so much, but it just helps me relax. As before, hours and hours can go by when playing the game. But the thing is, if you've already played A Link to the Past, this game hasn't much more to offer. After 22 years or so, I doubt there are many left with working batteries, and they're soldered onto the board so even a skilled electronics person would have a hard time replacing the battery without rendering the cartridge unplayable.
