Amazon.com Review: Le Creuset stoneware is widely admired for its luminous colors, sinuous designs, and durable construction, and, fancy that, it also bakes a heck of a lasagna or enchilada. This rectangular dish (with a cherry red exterior) measures 10-1/2 by 7 inches, a perfect size for potluck dishes. Its Poterie glaze is easy to clean, and because the stoneware is fired at 2,156 degrees F, it's quite difficult to chip, scratch, or stain the dish. It's also completely nonporous, so it doesn't absorb any odors or flavors--a must unless you plan on cooking only one recipe in the dish. Once you're done baking, this dish transfers confidently to the table with its sure-grip handles. Guests will appreciate the clean, elegant lines along the sides, not to mention the bold color (which matches other Le Creuset pieces).
