The magazine is a black & white 30(ish) page newspaper type magazine with local (Washington & Oregon) chess news, events, and games. It is well presented and the games are entertaining to play through. I think I like it mose because it doesn't have hundreds of games (it isn't overwhelming) and it isn't written only for the 2000+ player as some chess magazines are.
