 Rating:  - Best antenna I have foundI tried a LOT of portable antennas - the commercial Cantenna, at least three different flat patch antennas, omni-directional antennas beyound counting - antennas from Asus, D-Link, Linksys, Edimax, Pacific Wireless but none of them came close. I mainly use it with my laptop, with a high gain Engenius USB wireless adapter (Engenius EUB-362 EXT), but I have used it with other wireless adapters I have too, with the same great results. Read More Rating:  - Helps increase signal strengthI purchased this antenna to increase the signal strength to my repeater on the other side of the house. It gave an increase of about 2 bars on my signal strength meter but more importantly, it increased the reliability of the connection to my wife's computer and my WiFi radio. It is well worth the price. Rating:  - Minimal improvementI compared this unit to a +7db dipole antenna which cost one fourth as much, and the dipole pulled in twice as many access points with a much stronger signal. The Hawking is supposed to be a 15db unit, but it did little better than the +2dB stock antenna on the Alfa network adaptor, even when pointed directly at the access point. I returned this unit. The antenna needs to operate through 2-3 concrete walls plus at least one conventional wall because of the house's overall design.
