Editorial Review: Product Description: Polk Audio RM6750 Black Six-piece 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System - Introducing a complete home-theater audio solution for people who crave true cinema excitement without breaking the bank.?the RM6750. The integrated Power Port Bass Vent designed right onto the back of the compact Satellite & Center Channel speakers-the same technology used in full-sized Polk Audio speakers-improves lower midrange response and all-important sub/sat blending, taking the RM6750 beyond the performance realm of any other sub/sat system in this price range. This integrated design reveals midrange with no ?hole? in the frequencies between the sats and the sub, for male vocals that are rich and full-not thin and weak like other sub/sat systems. The RM6750 comes with its own subwoofer module, an 8 inch long throw driver and high current power amplifier for real ground-shaking bass thrills. The Subwoofer features an 8-inch Long-Throw Dynamic Balance Poly Composite Driver with built-in Subwoofer amp (50 Watts Continuous Power) Dimensions - Fronts/Surrounds - 6-1/2 H x 4-1/16 W x 5 D, 2 lbs / Center - 4-5/16 H x 11-3/16 W x 5-13/16 D, 5.25 lbs / Subwoofer - 15-7/8 H x 11 W x 13-1/2 D, 28 lbs Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Crisp sound under $250 with shipping! These speakers are definitely the best part of my home theater system! I bought them with a new Sony receiver, but the speakers got here much earlier then the receiver, so i hooked them up to my old Yamaha for the weekend. Wow! What a difference with just 2 speakers connected. I had 2 old 3 foot Klipsch floor standing speakers before, and i was amazed at the immediate difference in sound. It only got better after i hooked them into the new receiver on Monday. I now wish i had gotten a nicer receiver ... The AVR had been sitting in a box since my stepson moved out and took his speakers with him. After watching a movie at a friend's house with Bose surround sound, I noted that the sound was far better than what I had remembered from the speakers my stepson has. But doing some research I found these speakers were touted as having better midrange than the Bose and were at a much more affordable price point. ... I havent boughten any Polk Audio before but I heard the name before and I would recommend these speakers. The sub is quite nice and rich. It is a bit boxie but thats ok. The satellites have some weight to them which is nice. For under 300 you cant beat it. Rating: - Best for the moneyI don't believe you can beat these speakers for the price. They put everything else I have listened to to shame. They are not for a large theater but then, I don't have a large theater. Rating: - Good speaker for small room, hookup option #2 sounds much better than hookup option #1The speakers work great in a small room (in my case, 15 ft by 20 ft). The speakers have three hook up options. I tried option #2 first and then option # 1 after my subwoofer cable arrived. They sound much better using option #2. What a waste of my money to get the subwoofer cable! I read previous reviews about lack of low-frequecy male vocal sound from the speakers. That is exactly my experience with option #1 hookup. Using option #2, it sounds good for both movie effects and music. ... Read More |
