Amazon.com Review: The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Lodge's Logic line of cookware comes factory pre-seasoned with the company's vegetable oil formula, and is ready to use right out of the box. At 10-1/4 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep, this 5-quart Dutch oven holds a heap of chili, chicken and rice, or fruit cobbler. This model is not the campfire style, with legs, wire handle, and a lid for coals. This one is flat-bottomed to sit on a stovetop burner or in the oven, with a domed lid that sends moisture back into the pot. Loop handles aid in carrying with oven mitts. While the Dutch oven comes pre-seasoned to prevent food from sticking, it works best when sprayed or lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. After the meal is done, simply scrub the cast iron with a stiff brush and hot water, no soap, and dry immediately.  Rating:  - 5-Quart Dutch OvenScrub (without soap) first, let dry, add 1 large bottle of peanut oil, heat and french fry 2 or 3 pounds of potatoes to season Dutch Oven, and you're all set to cook your favorite recipes. The top will also fit the 10-1/2" round griddle plus regular skillet - very kewl. Rating: - Use it evey dayI love it so much, and use it to cook healthy food everyday. It doesn't stick at all if you heat the pot first, pour a little bit cold vegetable oil, then cook your vegetable or meat immediately. The only problem is that it is pretty heavy and hot. But it doesn't bother my that much. Rating: - I love this Dutch Oven!I bought this about a month ago and love it! In reading some of the other reviews, I saw that some of the other reviewers suggested seasoning it even though it was already pre-seasoned, so I did season it myself. The first time I used it, I made venison chili in it, and it was the best chili my family has ever eaten, although I didn't do anything differently from what I have done when making it in regular ovenware.
