The monitor on this system operates on the NTSC format providing 220 TVL (TV lines) of resolution. The CD player operates on a 100Hz to 20kHz frequency response, providing a signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio of 50dB and an immeasurable wow and flutter. This unit has a one-bit digital-to-analog audio converter and eight-times over sampling that provides for more accurate playback and a more natural, distortion-free CD sound. My 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter have had a blast on it. Easy for them to use and we've had some fun on it too. The screen graphics are a bit out dated, but we were prepared for that from previous reviews. Good purchase. While it is hard to find wholesome cd's all we need is to visit Christian Book Distributors or CBD.com But be sure to get cd+g for graphics or you will just be able to hear the music. Some cd's say karaoke but not cd+g. Graphics are good if you want to see the words. The Singing Machine sounds great! The screen is black and white and I wish it had a digital mode because it is blurry on our HD TV. But for the money this is still a great ... His 4 yr old brother was very entertained with this product also. Hours of laughter.... it was a great substitute for video games. I shopped around before buying and this was being sold at a comparable price to other websites with similar machines. |
