 Rating:  - Great energy burstGu is a great workout energy burst, without the caffine like effects. Works best if you drink a lot of water during the workout. Rating: - best energy gel on the marketThis is the best-tasting, most effective energy gel that I have found to date. The Tri-Berry actually tastes really great, and the caffeine is great to keep you going. I have found that if I take 1/2 packet at a time it is just enough to give me a burst of energy but not let me crash. I use them for 10 miles or more, generally about every 5 miles thereafter. Rating: - GU is not Gene Upshaw BUT....I had absolutely no intention of buying any GU Energy Gel the day I signed on to look up what all the GU emblems stood for on the football helmets and football fields. Well now I know that it was in honor of hall of famer Gene Upshaw who passed away in August. But I also found this stuff, read about it, read the reviews and ordered some. It is GREAT...what an unexpected discovery! It tastes good and it actually DOES give me a burst without drinking a lot of coffee and having to pee! LOVE IT!! Rating:  - great boost of energy during workoutgives me energy during long runs and other endurance sports - very easy to eat during a run, like having the option of 4 different flavors - I have tried all but Espresso Love so far (not a coffee drinker) and the other 3 taste great Rating: - Chocolate GuOf all the gels, I like the taste of this one best. Kind of like chocolate frosting. They all get old after awhile, but I find this one reasonably easy going down. |
