 Rating:  - Great potential, but poor quality controlIn the times when the product was working, the result was excellent. We liked the way we could program the unit to cook for a certain number of hours and then have it switch over to warm-mode automatically. The food was evenly cooked, and temperature control didn't seem to be an issue for us. Here's what went wrong. The first unit we bought failed right out of the box, with a bad on-off switch. It is so easy you can basically pull it right out of box and cook! The crock pulls out from the base for easy clean up. It has a digital timer that you can set for however long the receipe calls for, the crock pot will then stop cooking and set itself for "warm" after the alloted time. This is a very nice feature. I really love this item. Rating: - Great for a working familyThe slow cooker is great, I have not have one that sealed before so I had a mess every time cooked. The programming is so easy and accurate. I really recommend this product the size is just right for my family of four with just the right amount of left overs for the boys the next day. I love the fact that it is programmable, and especially the fact that it has a probe for cooking meat. I have used this to cook a whole chicken and a pork roast with the probe. Wonderfully moist meat. Of course, it won't brown the chicken, but since I take the skin off anyway, it does not matter. I have also cooked swiss steak. Yum. Again, 5 stars. |
