 Rating: - Very good soundI bought this piece to match my Blu-Ray player. sounds great, rich bass, crisp highs even tho its 650 watts vs my 1000watt system the samsung sounds better. also the 1080p by-pass is for video only! not sound. no ipod hook up, but still a great unit. The only con i think there is with the product is that it has only 2 hdmi inputs where as they could have added just the one more hdmi port we need. I spent several hours on the 18th setting it up, running wires to the speakers and connecting it to my HD cable box, Bluray player and HD TV. Functionality...that's a different storyI upgraded from an older Kenwood surround sound system to the Samsung HT-AS720S, and I must say the sound is awesome. I was blown away by the full HD surround sound. It's louder, crisp and clear. I can hear so much more than I did with my older system. The subwoofer can put out some serious bass.
